Flash February 2026

In our upcoming WGEPPP Flash session, we are pleased to welcome Jorge Mendes de Oliveira from SAI Brazil, who will present on the Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) and its application in audit practice.

The Multidimensional Poverty Index provides a broader perspective on poverty by going beyond income-based measures and capturing deprivations across multiple dimensions such as education, health and living standards. During this Flash session, participants will gain insights into how the MPI can be used as an analytical tool in audit work, particularly in assessing the design, targeting and relevance of public policies aimed at reducing poverty and social inequalities.

The presentation will illustrate practical experiences from Brazil and explore how multidimensional indicators can strengthen evidence-based auditing and contribute to more comprehensive evaluations of public interventions.

We look forward to an engaging exchange and to welcoming you to this Flash session.
